For our supporters and cheerleaders there’s sure to be cake and coffee too!

This year we’re delighted to have the support of Canvas Holidays.
All entrants will be entered into a prize draw for one of their fantastic family holidays.
Look out for more details over the next week or so!

Kingdom Crits will be back for 2017 after the summer.

Keep an eye on this page and Facebook for news and updates.

This category is all about taking part. It’s the participation that’s important and above all else, ensuring the kids have fun! Everyone will be a winner.

Spark the competitive spirit with a mini version of the big races. Do as many laps as you can in 5mins with a final lap to separate the speed merchants at the front!

Stepping up the anti a little in this age group, the race is extended to 10mins + 1 lap. This should make for fantastic racing with what is sure to be strong field.

At 15 minutes plus a lap this is the type of race where establishing a steady pace and tactics come into play. Can you hold your nerve?

At 20 minutes plus a lap this is the type of race where establishing a steady pace and tactics come into play. Can you hold your nerve?

U16/18s RACE
Time for the big boys and girls to play. At 25 minutes plus 2 laps this is an energy sapper. A good race strategy is essential here – race off too fast and you’ll struggle.

The club exists to give 7 to 16 year olds the chance to experience the action and excitement of cycle sport and is accredited through British Cycling’s Go-Ride scheme.

Mukyriderz have been in existence for a number of years as a race team and the focal point for regular social group rides but is newly affiliated with British Cycling as an official club.

Meedies Bike Club is a community cycling club based at Lochore Meadows Country Park in Fife and is run by volunteers with support from staff at Fife Council’s Outdoor Education Centre.

The Kingdom Crits follow British Cycling rules but if you are not familiar with these we have outlined the most important ones for you.

The emphasis of the race series is on fun. Whilst it is important to recognise the first finishers, it is equally important to celebrate and recognise everyone’s effort so set the tone with your child by focusing on their individual techniques and performance rather than comparison with others.

1.What are the birth dates for each age category

Under 6 – Born on or after 1st January 2009
Under 8 – Born between 1st January 2007 and 31st December 2008
Under 10 – Born between 1st January 2005 and 31st December 2006
Under 12 – Born between 1st January 2003 and 31st December 2004
Under 14 – Born between 1st January 2001 and 31st December 2002
Under 16 – Born between 1st January 1999 and 31st December 2000
Under 18 – Born on between 1st January 1997 and 31st December 1998

2.Do I need to do anything special to my child's bike?

All bikes must be in good working order with two working brakes. Bar end plugs must be fitted to the handlebars

3.What safety equipment or protection will my child need?

All riders must wear a helmet. No full face helmets are allowed in XC events. Gloves and protective eyewear are recommended. No helmet, no entry to the race

4.Am I allowed to assist my child on the course?

No outside assistance is to be given once the riders have been called to the line (this means you are not allowed to push your child round the course). Parents must keep clear of the course while the race is taking place

5.Will bad weather have any implications on the race?

Should adverse weather compromise the safety of the course the event organiser may cancel/change the route at short notice.

6.Can my child change bikes during the race?

Bike changes are not permitted. Riders must finish the race with the same bar mounted number plate that they started the race with. Small repairs can be carried out during the race by the rider in any safe place around the circuit either with or without outside help

7.Who is in charge on the day?

Always follow instructions by course marshals, starters and the race organiser

8.Will the course be easy to follow?

Stay within the taped off areas while racing and you won’t go wrong.

9.When will we know the results?

Results will be broadcast when they are finalised by the timing crew. Parents/competitors MUST NOT approach the timing crew at any point during the competition. Failure to comply will result is disqualification. The final classifications will be posted via our social media channels and on this website.

The time keepers/race organiser decision is final.

Enjoy the race, encourage all competitors and support your local clubs who have put a huge amount of voluntarily work in to producing the series for the community.
